Request an Irrigation and Moisture Management Assessment

To help TreeLine Wild Fire Defence understand your property’s irrigation system, water supply, moisture coverage, and site conditions, please provide the details below.
This helps us prepare for your on-site visit and ensures we begin the project with a clear understanding of your goals.

About Your Property

Start with a few basics so we know who you are and where the property is located. We’ll only use this information for this assessment and project planning.

Water Source & Supply

Understanding how water reaches your property helps TreeLine Wild Fire Defence design a system that performs reliably during hot, dry periods. Your answers guide decisions such as pump sizing, filtration and whether any back-up storage may be required.

Primary Water Source

Select the option that best describes where your irrigation water comes from:

  • Municipal – Water supplied through a town or city network.
  • Private well – Water drawn from your own well or a shared well.
  • Creek, river or lake – Water pumped directly from a natural source.
  • Cistern or holding tank – Stored water that is refilled as needed.
  • Other or mixed – Any unique or combined setup; feel free to explain in the notes.

Summer Water Reliability

Tell us how your water supply behaves in July and August. This helps us plan for low pressure, watering restrictions and peak-demand periods.

  • Strong and constant – No noticeable drop in pressure or flow, even on hot days.
  • Occasional drops – Brief dips at certain times or during dry spells.
  • Limited or unreliable – Regular low pressure, outages or strict usage limits.
  • Not sure – Select this if uncertain; we will confirm on site.

Current Irrigation System

These questions help us understand what is already installed so we can decide whether to repair, upgrade or design a new system from the ground up.

Do You Currently Have Any Irrigation System Installed?

Choose the option that best describes your current setup:

  • No irrigation system – You water by hand or do not irrigate at all.
  • Partial coverage – Sprinklers or drip lines serve only some areas.
  • Full property coverage – Most or all planted areas are irrigated.

Approximate Age of the System

The age of the system gives us a sense of likely wear, buried components and compatibility with modern smart controls.

  • Under 5 years – Newer equipment that may only need tuning or small upgrades.
  • 5 to 10 years – Often still serviceable but may require more maintenance or retrofits.
  • Over 10 years – Systems that may be near end of life or ready for redesign.
  • Not sure – Select this if you are uncertain; we will assess during the visit.

Watering & Moisture Behaviour

This section looks at how your property behaves when it is wet or dry. Please select all statements that apply – it is normal to tick several boxes when applicable. Your answers help us balance plant health, wildfire risk and water efficiency.

General Watering & Moisture Behaviour

Think about what you notice during hot weather, after heavy rain or when you water:

  • Do some areas dry out quickly while others stay damp for days?
  • Is watering coverage even, or do you see dry patches and overwatered zones?
  • Do you ever see pooling, runoff or erosion during rain or irrigation?
  • Are there spots that always seem to struggle, even when you water regularly?

If you are unsure about any option, choose the closest match and we will review it together on site.

Areas To Review & Soil Conditions

Here you can tell us where on the property you would like help and what type of soil you believe you have. Please select all relevant areas – it is common to choose more than one.

Areas To Review

Tick each part of the property where you would like us to assess irrigation or moisture management:

  • Front yard – Spaces visible from the street or main entry.
  • Back yard – Outdoor living areas, lawns and patios.
  • Side yards – Narrow or shaded strips along the sides of the house.
  • Garden beds – Flower, vegetable or shrub beds.
  • Trees / natural vegetation – Native trees, forest edges or rough zones.
  • Sloped or hillside areas – Banks, ditches or steep ground where water runs off quickly.
  • Other – Any special area you would like us to look at.
  • Unsure – Select this if you are not sure how to describe the areas; you can add more detail in the notes.

Soil Type

If you know your soil type, choose the closest match. If not, select “Not sure” and we will confirm it on site.

  • Clay – Heavy soil that holds water, can be sticky when wet and hard when dry.
  • Sand – Very free-draining soil that often feels dry soon after watering.
  • Loam – A balanced mix that holds moisture while still draining well.
  • Rocky – Thin soil with many stones, often on slopes or natural outcrops.
  • Mixed – A combination of different soil types across the property.
  • Not sure – Select this if you are unsure; we will assess soil conditions during the visit.

Service Tier & Access

Choose the irrigation package that best fits your needs. We’ll confirm the most suitable tier during your site visit.

Irrigation Service Tier

  • Hydra-Guard – Foundational smart irrigation with timers, rain sensors and optimized zoning.
  • Soil-Sentinel – Mid-level automation using soil-moisture and weather-based control.
  • Climate-Guardian – Advanced climate-responsive control system with real-time monitoring and optional backup power.
  • Not sure – We can recommend the right tier after reviewing your property.

Access To Work Areas

  • Easy – Clear, walkable access.
  • Moderate – Some obstacles or uneven ground.
  • Challenging – Steep, tight or overgrown areas.
  • Not sure – We will confirm during the visit.
