TreeLine Wild Fire Defence provides defensive landscaping to reduce wildfire risk by addressing overgrown vegetation and fuel-heavy areas around your property.
Each project begins with a FireSmart-aligned landscaping assessment focused on reducing ignition points and establishing defensible space. Landscaping forms the foundation of effective wildfire defence, before irrigation or suppression systems are considered.
Work is scheduled following a TreeLine Landscaping Assessment Inquiry, allowing us to understand your property and priority risk areas in advance.
TreeLine Wild Fire Defence offers four levels of vegetation management services designed for different lot sizes, terrain conditions and wildfire-risk profiles.
Ground-Guard provides essential vegetation reduction for smaller residential lots. TreeLine removes surface fuels, trims light growth and establishes foundational defensible space around structures.
Brush-Sentinel increases the level of vegetation management with mechanical processing, selective FireSmart improvements and on-site recycling.
All of Ground Guard features
Mechanical chipping & debris processing
Shrub thinning & crown lifting
Selective FireSmart replanting
On-site mulch reuse (quality dependent)
Fuel-Scout is ideal for dense or challenging terrain.
TreeLine uses manual techniques and heavy equipment mechanical clearing methods to establish safer, wider defensible zones.
All of Brush Sentinel features
Mechanical clearing (skid steer/mini-excavator)
Heavy limb removal & slope adjustments where required
Firebreak pathway creation
Eco-Guardian delivers full-scale mechanical clearing and long-term vegetation strategy.
This tier incorporates environmental restoration, erosion control and native-species replanting.
All of Fuel Scout features
Multi-acre mechanical clearing
Biochar processing (where viable)
Native replanting & ecological restoration
Long-term management planning

The recommended tier depends on several factors:
Existing vegetation density (light, moderate, heavy or overgrown)
Terrain difficulty (steep, uneven, or limited access increases tier level)
Lot size (equipment and labour requirements scale with acreage)
Proximity to structures and FireSmart priority zones
Smaller, accessible sites typically align with Ground-Guard or Brush-Sentinel, while dense, sloped or expanded properties require Fuel-Scout or Eco-Guardian.
All tiers support eligibility for FireSmart BC vegetation-reduction grants where applicable.
